After the success of Winnie the Pooh: blood and honey, arriva anche un altro titolo ispirato ai romanzi per bambini ovvero Bambi: The Reckoning, horror che prende spunto da "Bambi, the life of a deer" (1923), opera letteraria da cui è tratto il classico Disney del '42.
Il film fa parte del crescente “Twisted Childhood Universe”, soprannominato "Poohniverse", di cui faranno parte anche i già annunciati Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare and Pinocchio Unstrung.
Produced by Jagged Edge Productions, the indie production company of Rhys Frake-Waterfield, the director of Winnie Pooh: blood and honey, Bambi: The Reckoning is directed by Dan Allen (here directing his first feature film) on a screenplay by Felix Salten and Rhys Warrington.
L'uscita è prevista nell'autunno 2024.
The story of Bambi: The Reckoning vede protagonisti una madre e un figlio che, dopo essere stati coinvolti in un incidente d'auto, si trovano in balia di Bambi: un cervo assassino.
