Aurora (Philippines - 2018) is the title of the new horror film by Yam Laranas, a Filipino director who is already the author of The Echo, Patient X and The Road. Of the film we report the release of the original trailer with English subtitles which can be found at the bottom of the article. The film will be released on Christmas Day in Manila.
Aurora deals with the theme of tragedies at sea namely that in shipwreck resulting in the death of passengers and crew.
Plot: The passenger ship Aurora crashes into a group of rocks near an island causing the death of the people on board. The accident forces Leana, the owner of a dilapidated inn, to search for the bodies for a fee and then deliver them to the families of the victims. The girl will thus put her own life and that of her sister at risk because the dead will return to shore and then find refuge in her home.
The cast includes Anne Curtis, Mercedes Cabral, Andrea Del Rosario, Sue Prado, Ricardo Cepeda, Ruby Ruiz, Allan Paule and Arnold Reyes.
The screenplay for Aurora was written four-handedly by Gin De Mesa and Yam Laranas.
