The summer season continues with a schedule full of horror films. Starting today, August 1, the following will be shown in theaters Dark Hall, l'horror sovrannaturale con Uma Thurman. Il 9 agosto è la data fissata per Shark - Il primo squalo, the movie about the killer shark. On the 14th, however, the Italian zombie movie will make its theatrical debut. The End? L'inferno fuori, followed by Muse which will instead see the light of day in Italian cinemas on August 22.

Wednesday, August 1: Dark Hall
Directed by Rodrigo Cortés (Buried, Red Lights), Dark Hall will arrive in Italian theaters on August 1, 2018 distributed by Eagle Pictures in collaboration with Leone Film Group.
Dark Hall (USA - 2018) is the film adaptation of the best-selling children's book of the same name by American author Lois Duncan.
La storia del film vede protagonista Kit Gordy (AnnaSophia Robb), una ragazza problematica che viene mandata nella prestigiosa Blackwood, un'alternativa alla prigione. Esplorando i corridoi dell’accademia con le altre studentesse, la ragazza scoprirà che la struttura gestita dall’eccentrica direttrice Madame Duret (Uma Thurman) nasconde qualcosa di malvagio. Terrificanti fenomeni paranormali infatti non tarderanno a manifestarsi fra le mura della scuola.

Thursday, August 9: Shark - Il primo squalo
Distributed by Warner Bros. Italy, Shark - The First Shark (USA - 2018) will see the light of day in theaters in our country on August 9. Written by James Vanderbilt and directed by John Turteltaub, this shark movie about the megalodon stars Jason Statham.
Shark - The First Shark is the film adaptation of the novel "MEG" written by Steve Alten in 1997.
An ocean submersible is attacked and damaged by a megalodon, a sizable shark that, until then, was considered extinct. Salvage expert Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) is recruited to rescue the crew trapped inside the vessel lying on the Pacific seabed.

Tuesday, Aug. 14: The End? L'inferno fuori
The Italian zombie movie The End? Hell outside (Italy - 2017) will debut in theaters in our country on August 14 with 01 Distribution. The film is directed by Daniele Misischia (Adrenaline, "Hobo" in Connections, "The Return of Helena" in 17 at Midnight), who co-wrote the screenplay with Cristiano Ciccotti (Adrenaline, "Hobo" in Connections).
Plot: the cynical and arrogant Claudio Verona (Alessandro Roja) is an important businessman. One morning, on his way to the office to complete a job for his company, he gets stuck in the elevator. The discomfort caused by the breakdown will be only the least of his problems as the man, trapped between two floors in a metal cabin, will unwittingly witness an atrocious spectacle. A deadly virus is in fact turning humans into zombies, and Claudio will have to rely on his survival instincts to try to make it out of that inferno alive.
The cast includes Alessandro Roja, Claudio Camilli, Euridice Axen, Bianca Friscelli, Benedetta Cimatti and Roberto Scotto Pagliara. Leonardo Cruciano and Carlo Diamantini handled the special effects.

Wednesday, August 22: Muse
On August 22, Adler Entertainment brings to theaters. Muse (Spain - 2017), the horror film by Spanish director Jaume Balaguerò (Darkness, Bed Time, Rec, [REC] 4: Apocalipsis).
Muse (aka Muses) is the film adaptation of the novel "Lady Number 13" by Jose Carlos Somoza. In this cinematic re-imagining, Jaume Balaguerò brings to the stage his elegant horror worldview in which the concepts of beauty, love and art are transmuted into something dangerous and terrifying.
Plot: Samuel Salomon (Elliot Cowan) ha abbandonato l'insegnamento in seguito alla morte della sua ragazza. Da quel tragico giorno, il professore di letteratura è tormentato da un incubo ricorrente in cui una sconosciuta viene assassinata durante un rituale. Quando la stessa donna del sogno viene ritrovata senza vita nel mondo reale, Samuel raggiunge la scena del crimine per cercare di dare delle risposte alle sue domande.
