L'arte di Daniele Serra continua ad estendersi nel mondo del cinema horror raggiungendo anche film cult come Hellraiser, Cabal and Chucky. In the film industry, illustrations by this talented Italian artist were used for the set dressing of Cell (USA - 2016), l'horror fantascientifico (tratto dall'omonimo romanzo di Stephen King) diretto da Tod Williams e interpretato da John Cusack e Samuel L. Jackson.
Daniele Serra has worked on two comic anthologies by Hellraiser, sia come copertinista che come disegnatore di alcune storie. Nel 2017 si è occupato della cover dell'Blu-ray deluxe edition of Cabal (Nightbreed) by Clive Barker and recently made, for Tom Holland, some posters featured in the limited edition Blu-rays of famous horror films such as Child's Play and Texas Chainsaw Massacre).
L'artista sardo, vincitore del British Fantasy Awards (Best Artist), ha collaborato con le più importanti case editrici di fumetti americane e inglesi (come DC Comics, Image Comics, Cemetery Dance Publications) e con il magazine statunitense Weird Tales. Daniele Serra si occupa anche delle cover di racconti, libri horror/fantasy (also collaborating with the American writer Joe R. Lansdale) and music CD covers.
Serra is also the author of the illustrations for the comic Dark Souls edito da Titan Comics. Le sue opere inoltre sono presenti nell'deluxe edition (tre volumi illustrati e custoditi all'interno di uno slipcase cartonato) del romanzo horror fantascientifico "Tommyknockers" ("Creatures of the dark") di Stephen King. Questa edizione PS Publishing è limitata a 1000 copie.
