Daniele Serra's art in cinema: from Hellraiser to The Killer Doll.

Daniele Serra's art continues to extend into the world of horror cinema, even reaching cult films such as Hellraiser, Cabal and Chucky. In the film industry, illustrations by this talented Italian artist were used for the set dressing of Cell (USA - 2016), the sci-fi horror (based on the Stephen King novel of the same name) directed by Tod Williams and starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson.

Daniele Serra has worked on two comic anthologies by Hellraiser, both as a cover artist and as an illustrator of some stories. In 2017 he was responsible for the cover of theBlu-ray deluxe edition of Cabal (Nightbreed) by Clive Barker and recently made, for Tom Holland, some posters featured in the limited edition Blu-rays of famous horror films such as Child's Play and Texas Chainsaw Massacre).

The Sardinian artist, winner of the British Fantasy Awards (Best Artist), has worked with major American and British comic book publishers (such as DC Comics, Image Comics, Cemetery Dance Publications) and with the US magazine Weird Tales. Daniele Serra also works on the covers of short stories, horror/fantasy books (also collaborating with the American writer Joe R. Lansdale) and music CD covers.

Serra is also the author of the illustrations for the comic Dark Souls published by Titan Comics. His works also appear in thedeluxe edition (three illustrated volumes housed inside a hardback slipcase) of the sci-fi horror novel "Tommyknockers” (“Creatures of the dark") by Stephen King. This PS Publishing edition is limited to 1000 copies.
