Army of the Dead is the first chapter in a horror saga and will arrive on the Netflix platform on May 21, 2021.
The story's protagonist is a man who recruits a group of mercenaries to pull off the biggest and riskiest heist of all time by venturing into the quarantine zone, right in the middle of a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas.
Plot: Scott Ward (Dave Bautista) is a former zombie war hero who now makes hamburgers on the outskirts of town. One day the man receives an incredible proposition from Bly Tanaka (Hiroyuki Sanada), the boss of a casino: to enter the undead-infested quarantine zone to recover $200 million buried in the gambling house vault.
Driven by the hope that the reward will help him reconcile with his daughter Kate (Ella Purnell), Scott accepts the assignment and puts together a team that can help him before the city is bombed by the government within 32 hours. With the clock ticking, the basement room armored, and a horde of intelligent and hungry zombies on their tail, it will not be easy for Scott and his helpers to complete the mission.

The screenplay of Army of the Dead is a collaboration between Shay Hatten, Joby Harold and Zack Snyder himself, who also appears in the project as director of photography.
