Netflix has released the first trailer for Army of the Dead (US - 2021), the zombie action/horror featuring Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Living Dead) as director. In development at Warner Bros. since 2007, Army of the Dead cost about $70 to $80 million.
Produced by Netflix, Army of the Dead is the first installment of a horror saga, and the release date has been set for May 21, 2021.
The story of Army of The Dead takes place in the midst of a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas. The protagonist is a man who recruits a group of mercenaries to pull off the biggest and riskiest heist of all time by venturing into the quarantine zone.
The cast of Army of the Dead is composed of Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Huma Qureshi, Hiroyuki Sanada (Avengers: Endgame), Omari Hardwick (Kick Ass), Garret Dillahunt (Fear the Walking Dead), Raúl Castillo, Rich Cetrone, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer and Samantha Win (Arrow, Wonder Woman).
The screenplay is by Zack Snyder, Shay Hatten and Joby Harold.
