In anticipation of the teaser trailer to be launched on Thursday, February 25, the official poster of Army of the Dead, the new zombie movie from Zack Snyder, the director of Dawn of the Living Dead (2004).
Produced by Netflix, Army of the Dead is the first installment of a horror saga and, as revealed by Zack Snyder himself on Twitter, the release date has been set for May 21, 2021.
The story of Army of The Dead takes place in the midst of a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas. The protagonist is a man who recruits a group of mercenaries to pull off the biggest and riskiest heist of all time by venturing into the quarantine zone.
In development at Warner Bros. since 2007, Army of the Dead cost about $70 to $80 million.
The cast includes Ella Purnell, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Huma Qureshi, Dave Bautista, Hiroyuki Sanada (Avengers: Endgame), Omari Hardwick (Kick Ass), Garret Dillahunt (Fear the Walking Dead), Raúl Castillo, Rich Cetrone, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer, and Samantha Win (Arrow, Wonder Woman).
The screenplay was written by Zack Snyder himself in collaboration with Shay Hatten and Joby Harold.
