Internal Jury:
- Antony Coia: Head of DarkVeins.com and president of the Dark Circle Association, he has been a leading promoter of horror culture on the web for more than 10 years. His long experience as owner of the site The Gate has led him over time to enter into outside collaborations with writers, filmmakers, film production companies and artists. A story of his has been published by Ghost Editions, he has served as an editor with the print magazine Horror Show, and for a number of years ran a club devoted to promoting biker, metal, and horror culture.
- Barbara Torretti: Vice president of the Dark Circle Association, holds a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature, and has been curating horror on the web for more than 10 years, both as an editor and as a community moderator, first on the site Il Cancello and now at DarkVeins.com. She has also written and writes for a variety of publications on the web.
External Jury:
- Alexander Crossbow: Owner of the website Skeletons.com. From an early age he discovered his passion, almost morbid, for horror and fantasy. Horror books and movies became his bread and butter; among the many authors he reads, his favorite is undoubtedly Lovecraft. During these years he tried his hand at all kinds of artistic expression: he wrote short stories and poems, sang in a rock band, composed songs, and painted pictures that he likes to call "black paintings."
- Gordiano Lupi: Editorial director of Edizioni Il Foglio. Collaborates with La Stampa in Turin as translator of Yoani Sánchez's blog. Director of the Latin American fiction series Celebres Ineditos by Edizioni Anordest. He has taken part in some TV shows such as Cominciamo bene le storie by Corrado Augias (book Italian Serial killers), Uno Mattina by Luca Giurato (book Italian Serial killers), Odeon TV (show about Italian Serial killers), La Commedia all'italiana on Rete Quattro (where he talked about Gloria Guida and sexy comedy), Speciale TG1 by Monica Maggioni (Cuba and Yoani Sánchez theme), Dove TV with Cuba theme.
- George Riccardi: Founder and director of the portal LetteraturaHorror.it. The site was born about a year ago from an "unhealthy" idea and, in a short time, has carved out a niche but very personal space within the Italian internet horror scene with always fresh and attentive news and reviews, interviews with prominent personalities and top contests. He loves horror and thriller literature spasmodically, but is also attracted and fascinated by cinematography and comics.
- Alda Teodorani: A cult author of Italian noir-horror, Alda Teodorani has signed some of the most visionary pages of literature in the last fifteen years, from The Roots of Evil to Blood Lips, from Organs to Nightmares. Her stories have inspired the films of Lethal Appointments, a project created in collaboration with Filmhorror.com. He teaches creative writing at the International School of Comics in Rome.
- Alessio Valsecchi: Born on the Day of the Dead a long time ago, he has since never stopped stumbling upon the blackest, most mysterious and disturbing aspects of the world around him. At the helm of LaTelaNera.com since 2003, he is an avid devourer of books (and pizza) and a big fan of movies (and wine).
- Federico Zampaglione: Frontman of Tiromancino is now among the most successful Italian horror directors. After his debut in the world of cinema with Nero Bifamiliare, he ventured into the reconstruction of a new identity for Italian horror cinema, first with Shadow in 2009, and then with Tulpa - Perdizioni mortali in 2012, a film that pays homage to the 1970s detective/horror films of our country. Always attentive to the needs of fans of the genre, he fights for the cultural awakening of Italian cinema and now of literature as well.
