Unveiled in these hours the plot and part of the cast of Annabelle 2, the sequel to Annabelle. It will be directed by David F. Sandberg, the director of Lights Out - Terrore nel buio (here the new trailer) while David Bab, the screenwriter of Annabelle, will also be in charge of the script for the sequel.
Trama: vent'anni dopo la tragica morte della loro bambina, un bambolaio e sua moglie accolgono in casa una suora e un gruppo di bambine provenienti da un orfanotrofio. Ben presto gli ospiti diventeranno il bersaglio di Annabelle, una delle bambole create dall'uomo.
Of the cast only three names have been revealed namely those of Talitha Bateman who will be one of the orphan girls; Miranda Otto, the doll maker's wife while Stephanie Sigman instead will play Sister Charlotte.
Durante un'intervista da lui rilasciata a Bloody-Disgusting, David F. Sandberg si è espresso su Annabelle 2, film che sin da oggi prevede sarà migliore del primo capitolo, tra l'altro soprannominandolo ironicamente "Godfather II of creepy doll movies". Il regista ha dichiarato inoltre che Annabelle 2 will not be a continuation of the first film and therefore will have a new story, unrelated to that of the previous chapter.
Recall that the first installment, directed by John R. Leonetti in 2014 and arriving in our theaters thanks to Warner Bros. Italy, is the spin-off of the The Summoning (The Conjuring) by James Wan.
We also take the opportunity to add that the sequel to The Conjuring or The Conjuring - The Enfield Case is in theaters as of June 23.
