In addition to depicting violence unleashed by bitter revenge, the film is an homage to 1980s horror cinematography.
Plot: Red Miller (Nicolas Cage) and Mandy Bloom (Andrea Riseborough) are a close-knit couple. Their lives will be turned upside down when the sadistic Jeremiah Sand, the leader of a mysterious cult, has the woman kidnapped, unleashing the wrath and vengeance of her partner.
