Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have released the international poster featuring Michael Myers from Halloween (USA - 2018), the new chapter in the saga directed by David Gordon Green. The film will be released in Italian theaters starting October 25, 2018.
Halloween is the direct sequel to Halloween - The Night of the Witches (1978) by John Carpenter and ignores all subsequent sequels in the franchise.
The screenplay is by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride. The cast rejoins Jamie Lee Curtis (as Laurie Strode) and also Nick Castle. The latter again takes on the role of the ruthless Michael Myers 40 years after the first film (1978).
Plot: Forty years after Michael Myers' killing spree, the heinous serial killer becomes the subject of a crime documentary. When the film crew visits him in prison, the killer escapes, retrieves his mask and begins hunting Laurie Strode. Convinced in his return, the woman has always tried over the years to protect her daughter and granddaughter from the psychopath. Certainly not unprepared, Laurie is now ready to confront him.
Among the main performers in Halloween, in addition to Nick Castle and Jamie Lee Curtis, there are also Judy Greer, Virginia Gardner, and Will Patton.
John Carpenter appears in the 2018 film as creative consultant, executive producer, and author of the soundtrack.
