After the poster controversy, has caused a stir with yet another postponement, this time to a date to be determined, of Amityville: The Awakening. The horror film written and directed by Franck Khalfoun (Maniac remake), was supposed to be released in 2014, a year to which several dates followed until June 30, 2017 (link to news story) which, like the others, is precisely skipped. By now one wonders if this film will ever see the light of day.

The sequel Amityville: The Awakening is the fourteenth installment in the franchise Amityville Horror. The story stars Joan (Jennifer Jason Leigh), a single mother who goes to live in a Long Island home with her children namely teenage twins Belle (Bella Thorne) and James (a comatose boy) and baby Juliet. The new home, once the scene of horrific events, will prove anything but welcoming to the new family who will witness strange phenomena here including the miraculous recovery of James (Cameron Monaghan).

In the cast: Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Kurtwood Smith, Mckenna Grace, Taylor Spreitler, Thomas Mann, and Cleopatra Coleman.
