Dreadcentral has published the first images of Amityville: The Awakening, formerly known as "The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes" and later "Amityville," yet another title in the never-ending saga whose story is inspired by the events narrated by the Lutz family.
The two stills attached to this article are from the promo trailer presented before the screening of Sin City: A Dame to Kill in U.S. theaters this week.
As has been known for some months now, Franck Khalfoun, the director of the excellent remake of Maniac, replaced David Bruckner as director. The film was shot in California and is scheduled for release in U.S. theaters on January 2, 2015.
In addition to Jennifer Jason Leigh, Cameron Monaghan and Bella Thorne, Kurtwood Smith will also be in the cast.
