It's back to talking about Amityville: The Awakening on the release of the new UK poster. Written and directed by Franck Khalfoun (Maniac remake), this troubled film (whose release date has been moved more than four times) will probably see the light of day on June 29 in the UK and June 30 in the States.
Unfortunately, the release of the poster has caused much controversy. It is evidently a plagiarism of the poster of The Possession Experiment (USA - 2016) di Scott B. Hansen, as Horror-MoviesCa rightly pointed out..
In fact, comparing the two posters shows that the subject is the same, albeit with some slight changes.
Trama: Joan (Jennifer Jason Leigh) è una madre single che si trasferisce in una casa di Long Island insieme ai figli ovvero la piccola Juliet e i gemelli adolescenti Belle e James (quest’ultimo in coma in seguito ad un incidente). La nuova abitazione, un tempo teatro di un orribile massacro, si rivelerà tutt'altro che accogliente. Fra le mura si manifesteranno strani fenomeni fra cui la miracolosa guarigione di James (e anche qui tornano in mente spiccate similitudini con altri altri film come il recente Bornless Ones by Alexander Babaev).
In the cast: Jennifer Jason Leigh, Cameron Monaghan, Bella Thorne, Taylor Spreitler, Kurtwood Smith, Mckenna Grace, Thomas Mann, and Cleopatra Coleman.
