Written and directed by James Bickert ("Frankenstein Created Bikers"), Amazon Hot Box is a mix of different genres such as action, dark comedy and horror. In particular, Amazon Hot Box belongs to the strand women in prison, a subgenre of exploitation films. In fact, the film is a tribute to titles such as "First Guilt" (1950), "So Young So Bad" (1950) and "Women's Prison" (1955), while one of the characters reincarnates Ilsa, the glacial Nazi German generaless who starred in a series of exploitation films ("Ilsa the SS Beast," "Greta, the Beast Woman").
Plot: American student Penny (Kelsey Carlisle) is mistakenly arrested during a raid and locked up in a women's prison. Here, keeping order is Inga Von Krupp (Ellie Church), a sadistic prison guard who is building the world's largest information extractor. Crocodiles, psychotic inmates, experiments and voodoo will be the obstacles that make her life hell and prevent her from escaping.
