From today, October 23, in addition to the box set Horror Mania Collection, is also available New Italian Horror Collection, a box containing three DVDs and collecting three Italian horror films: The Perfect Husband (2014) by Lucas Pavetto, Across the River (2013) by Lorenzo Bianchini and The Wicked Gift (2017) di Roberto D'Antona.
The Perfect Husband is a horror thriller directed in 2014 by Lucas Pavetto (Alcoholic), who co-wrote the script and screenplay with Massimo Vavassori (Sweetness Extrema).
Plot: Viola (Gabriella Wright) and Nicola (Bret Roberts) reach a chalet to spend a weekend away from the chaos of the city. Here their relationship, already weakened by the loss of their son, falls apart for good. A simple suspicion creeping into the thoughts of one of them will turn the short vacation into a nightmare.
The cast includes Bret Roberts, Gabriella Wright, Carl Wharton, Tania Bambaci, Daniel Vivian, and Philippe Reinhardt.
Across the River (Beyond the ford), the highlight of the trio offered by CG Entertainment, is a suspenseful ghost movie directed by Lorenzo Bianchini (here our interview).
Plot: Marco Contrada è un etologo che raggiunge i boschi per posizionare delle telecamere con l'obiettivo di fotografare gli animali e di monitorare a distanza il loro comportamento. Le registrazioni lo conducono in un villaggio maledetto dove resta bloccato a causa dell'incessante pioggia che ha innalzato il livello del fiume ed inondato così l'unico accesso.
