New title for Alex Visani's production company Empire Video. It is Alienween - The Melting Movie, a new horror film written and directed by Federico Sfascia (I REC U and Nights of the Evil One), director who won The Reign of Horror Award 2014 with the short film The reflection of death.
The subject of Alienween is by Alex Visani, organizer of the said Festival.
In the title Alienween - The Melting Movie the word “melting” appears, suggesting the nature of the film veering toward the Melt Movie and also toward the splatter genre. Like the older films in this subgenre (The Incredible Melting Man, Body Melt, The Wax Man, Street Trash - Horror on Bowery Street, Mermaid in a Manhole - Guinea Pig), in Sfascia's film we can expect to see tasty melting effects with human bodies in a state of liquefaction.
Irony, splatter, lots of special effects and slimy mutants for this interesting film produced by Empire Video, whose film project aims to breathe new life into the “Melt Movie” subgenre.
The filming of Alienween - The Melting Movie will begin next September in Umbria, while distribution is expected between the end of this year and early 2015. The first names in the cast are: Guglielmo Favilla, Raffaele Ottolenghi, Valentina Framarin, Federica Bertolani, Milena Garreffa, Cecilia Casini and Alex Lucchesi (Eaters, Anger of the Dead, Extreme Jukebox).
FX master: Camme Fantaman (Fantasma Film Productions).
Plot: It all happens at a party among friends on Halloween night. A mysterious meteor shower on earth is the first sign of a “slimy” alien invasion.
We take this opportunity to report that the DVD of. The Pyramid, the first horror film from Empire Video, is currently available on Amazon in both Italian and Japanese versions (fully compatible with European dvd players).
