20th Century Studios has announced the release of Alien: Romulus on limited edition VHS in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the legendary sci-fi horror franchise.
Written and directed by Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead remake, Don't Breathe), Alien: Romulus is the seventh installment in the Alien franchise and is set between the events of Alien and Aliens.
Alien: Romulus VHS will be available on December 3, 2024, and in the same day the film will be released in Italy on DVD, Blu-ray, 4K and 4K Steelbook by Eagle Pictures.
The story of Alien: Romulus features a group of young space colonists who stumble upon the wreckage of a spaceship inside which hides a xenomorph.
The film is produced by Ridley Scott, the director of the first installment, and stars Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bones), David Jonsson (Agatha Christie's Murder is Easy), Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), Spike Fearn (Aftersun) and Aileen Wu.
Based on the characters created by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett, the script is by Alvarez himself along with his collaborator Rodo Sayagues (Don't Breathe).
Alien: Romulus was released in Italian theaters last August.
