It is entitled Abrakadabra the fourth film directed by Argentine brothers Luciano and Nicolás Onetti. Abrakadabra is the concluding chapter of a trilogy that began with Deep Sleep (2103) and continued with Francesca (2015) and paying homage to the Italian giallo genre, in particular, to Argentine film works.
And so, after the recent What the Waters Left Behind (una sorta di tributo a "Non aprite quella porta"), il duo argentino riversa ancora il suo amore per l’Italia e per il cinema degli anni ’70 del nostro Paese con un film che verrà presentato in anteprima mondiale al Sitges il prossimo mese.
The story of Abrakadabra (Argentina - 2018) vede protagonista Dante, un noto prestigiatore che muore accidentalmente durante un rischioso numero di magia. Trentacinque anni dopo, il figlio Lorenzo (anche lui mago), si prepara ad uno spettacolo che sarà presentato nei principali teatri della città. Nel frattempo però iniziano a verificarsi atroci delitti i cui indizi portano proprio al prestigiatore. Prima che sia troppo tardi, Lorenzo cercherà di scoprire l'identità del vero assassino e il motivo per cui vuole incastrarlo.
