The official poster for the short film has been online for a few hours. A Tricky Treat (U.S., Canada - 2015), the horror comedy shot this year in Los Angeles, written by Kamal John Iskander and directed by Patricia Chica, an award-winning director and producer known in the film industry for her short films and documentaries in the drama and thriller genres.
Emerging from the Cannes Film Festival, the film will have its world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Canada, followed by the Scream Queen Film Fest in Tokyo, RIP Horror Film Festival in Hollywood, and also the San Giò Verona Video Festival in Italy.
The story of A Tricky Treat tells of a man (Leonard Waldner) taken hostage by a very strange and dangerous family. The fate of the victim lies in the hands of two children.
The cast includes Leonard Waldner, Steve Brewster, Andrea Fletcher, Keira McCarthy, and Marco Reilly. Production of the film was handled by Grace Santos, Byron A. Martin and Patricia Chica.
