Paramount has brought forward by four months the release of A Quiet Place 2, the sequel to the sci-fi horror film A Quiet Place - A Quiet Place (USA - 2018). Due to the pandemic, the release of this second chapter has been postponed several times but now the film studio has decided to bring it forward to May 28, 2021, thus canceling the September 17, 2021 date.
Directed by John Krasinski, former author of the original chapter, A Quiet Place 2 (USA - 2020) sheds light on the origins of the chaos that has forced the Abbott family to live in silence and will continue to struggle for survival.
The film features part of the cast from the first chapter namely Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe. They are joined by Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later), Brian Tyree Henry (The Killer Doll - 2019), Lauren-Ashley Cristiano, Djimon Hounsou and Wayne Duvall.
Plot: Terrifying and tragic events have forced the Abbott family to live in absolute silence lest they be hunted down and exterminated by mysterious creatures attracted by noise. When the nightmare seems to be over, lo and behold, Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and her children will have to defend themselves again but this time not only from dangerous monsters who hunt using sound but also from a new and disconcerting danger.
Initially set for March 2020, the release date of A Quiet Place 2 was first postponed (due to Covid-19) to September 4, 2020. Later, the release slipped first to April 23, 2021, then to September 17, 2021, and now it has been advanced to May 28, 2021.
