Opened crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for The Orange Man, the slasher/comedy film currently in pre-production written and directed by Stephen Folker. This is a delirious film but this is nothing new for the director who has previously been involved with the short The Mustache Movie in which a man discovers that his mustache has magical powers.
Folker is also currently engaged in post-production of Field Freak, another horror comedy that will certainly not go unnoticed because of the level of dementedness but also originality with which the director is wont to spice up his cinematic works.
A title such as. The Orange Man among horror movies cannot help but arouse curiosity, and since it is a slasher, it is easy to guess that the serial killer does not use conventional weapons but rather harmless oranges to strike and kill his victims. The curiosity to see the trailer with a new "fruity" villain is great, in the meantime let's take a look at the first image online and also at the plot: a group of middle-aged friends go camping but just when they should be having fun and relaxing, they are hunted down by a maniac armed with oranges.
In the cast, aside from the bag of oranges: Ben Rollins (the "orange man"), Dave Juehring, Thomas Ely Sage, Glenn Harston, Jim Plovanich, Susan Wynne Lunning, Marv Blauvelt, and Trena Penson.
This work brings to mind the very funny short film The Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon. (2008) by Richard Gale in which the murderer kills his victim with an unlikely weapon (a teaspoon). Only a sketchy plot is known about Folker's film at present, but it is likely to be a title that promises fun and lots of dementedness just as in Gale's film.
