A new trailer for The Void (Canada - 2016), the Canadian horror film that has attracted much interest among horrorphiles for its juicy special effects and its evocative Lovecraftian and Carpenterian (The Thing) atmospheres. Written and directed by Jeremy Gillespie (Inferno of the Dead, Father's Day) and Steven Kostanski ("W is for Wish" segment in ABCs of Death 2), The Void will be distributed by Screen Media Films (U.S. theaters and VOD) on April 7, 2017, later than the U.K. whose date is set for March 31.
Trama: l’ufficiale di polizia Daniel Carter (Aaron Poole) accompagna in ospedale un uomo ricoperto di sangue appena trovato per strada. Nella struttura ospedaliera però Daniel si troverà di fronte ad uno spettacolo da brivido: quasi tutti i pazienti e il personale stanno subendo una sorta di mutazione. Carter allora condurrà i pochi superstiti nelle viscere dell'ospedale, affrontando con loro un viaggio infernale alla ricerca della salvezza.
The Void è stato presentato in anteprima mondiale al Fantastic Fest. Il film inoltre ha avuto la sua premiere anche al London Film Festival, al Toronto After Dark Film Festival, allo Stockholm International Film Festival e all'Abertoir Horror Festival.
