New posters and trailers for The Shelter, the thriller-horror written, directed and produced by actor John Fallon (Perimeter of Fear, Dead Shadows), who has behind him the short genre film The Red Hours.
We had talked about the film last April regarding the release of the first trailers and posters (link to news story). In The Shelter, playing the homeless protagonist is Michael Paré, an American actor with a long film career (BloodRayne, Seed, Postal, Village of the Damned, Amphibious 3D).
Plot: Thomas Jacobs (Michael Paré) is a man devastated by a family tragedy and who, disillusioned with life, is homeless with no prospects for the future. One night, attracted by very peculiar lights filtering through the windows, the man sneaks into a house and, thinking it is uninhabited, settles there to spend the night. The mysterious dwelling, however, is endowed with special powers and will be able to torment Thomas, playing on his already declining mental health.
Along with Michael Paré, the cast includes Lauren Alexandra, Amy Wickenheiser, Gayle James, Rachel G. Whittle, Brigette Rose and Thomas Johnston. Photography is by Bobby Holbrook while music is by Shawn Knippelberg.
The release date of The Shelter is set for Nov. 4 for both theaters and VOD and DVD distribution, thanks to Uncork'd Entertainment.
