Online poster, images and trailer of Tarumama (aka Llanto Maldito), the Colombian horror film directed by Andres Beltrán (Malos Días) on a script penned by the director himself in collaboration with Anton Goenechea.
Tarumama was presented at the Cannes Film Festival's Marché du Film last week.
Also the story of Tarumama seems to draw on the folklore of Latin America and, in particular, on the legend of the Llorona, a woman's troubled soul who is vainly searching for a son she has killed or lost. Her chilling screams frighten those who see or hear her.
Plot: In an attempt to overcome their marital crisis, Sara and Óscar decide to spend a week in a remote country cabin with their two children, Alicia and Tomás. Once there, their desire for tranquility gives way to terror when they notice that a woman is wandering in the forest, crying nonstop, looking for the child she lost. It will not be easy for the family to stick together to survive that nightmare.
The cast of Tarumama is composed of Andres Londono, Paula Castaño, Carolina Ribón and Alanna de La Rossa.
