Ahead of its upcoming premiere in Cannes, the trailer for Lamb (Iceland, Poland, Sweden - 2021), the supernatural horror starring Noomi Rapace, here grappling with a creature that is half-human and half-beast.
Directed by Valdimar Jóhannsson (here directing his first feature film), Lamb Will be distributed by A24.
The story of Lamb sheds light on the lives of a childless couple, two sheep farmers who on Christmas Eve find an infant who is half human and half lamb. Long longing for a child, the couple decide to care for the hybrid creature and raise it as if it were their own child, without thinking too much about the consequences. Initially this unexpected and mysterious gift will bring joy to the home only to tear the family apart.
The film stars Noomi Rapace (Men Who Hate Women, Prometheus), Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Hilmir Snær Guðnason and Ester Bibi.
