10 Cloverfield Lane, the sci-fi thriller-horror directed by newcomer Dan Trachtenberg, will arrive in Italian theaters from April 28 2016 thanks to Universal Pictures International Italy. The film is written by Josh Campbell, Matthew Stuecken and Damien Chazelle and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman and John Gallagher Jr. 10 Cloverfield Lane is part of the franchise Cloverfield and is considered a spiritual sequel to the film directed by Matt Reeves in 2008.
Plot: Following a car accident, Michelle wakes up in a bunker with two men, one of whom, Howard, claims to have saved her life. The young woman is also informed that a chemical-bacteriological attack has turned the city into an inferno and that the shelter they are in is the only safe place. Michelle, however, does not believe him and attempts to escape.
In addition to the three aforementioned actors, the cast includes Douglas M. Griffin, Maya Erskine, Mat Vairo and Suzanne Cryer.
