Nasce la collaborazione tra l’illustratore e fumettista italiano Daniele Serra e lo scrittore statunitense Joe R. Lansdale, noto per le sue opere letterarie di genere horror e noir.
Il progetto è un romanzo grafico che fonde i talenti dei due artisti. Daniele Serra dovrà infatti riadattare e illustrare un racconto breve di Lansdale. L’opera letteraria in questione è già uscita in Italia per Einaudi, pubblicata in una raccolta di racconti brevi ma per adesso il titolo non è stato ancora reso noto.
L’artista italiano ha dichiarato a DarkVeins che il fumetto occuperà circa 60 pagine del progetto e che il romanzo grafico potrebbe essere distribuito anche in Italia. Ci riserviamo la facoltà di pubblicare ulteriori informazioni a riguardo.
Daniele Serra, vincitore del British Fantasy Awards (Best Artist), ha collaborato con le più importanti case editrici di fumetti americane e inglesi e con il magazine statunitense Weird Tales. L’artista si occupa anche delle copertine di racconti, libri horror e fantasy, CD musicali. Veins and Skulls è il titolo del suo artbook attualmente disponibile su Amazon.
